Krazy Kid Name
Librato

How to Make a YA Librarian's Day
This just made my poetry book display worth it....there was a girl quietly looking at a couple of the books. I asked her if she needed help and she asked me where more poetry books were.

I don't even care if she checks any out, just the fact that she's looking at them makes it all good! :)

And a Poem from Poetry Month
Book marks are fun they save
your spot. Book marks are cool because
they have cool designs. The last thing
they are like candy in a pinata
Trying to hide, do not let the kid find
it.

Geography
For my own humor, last week I put a trivia challenge on the side of my computer to see how observant the kids are. In simple black font I wrote: What's the capital of Uzbekistan? Give the answer and get a free book!

I'd forgotten it was up, until a kid walked up to me and handed me a sheet of paper. He asked me if I was still doing that thing on the side of the computer. I said yes and unfolded the paper. On it he wrote "Tashkent"

I fanned out several books and said he could pick which ever he wanted. He picked Anthony Horowitz's "Raven's Gate" which I'm reading too. He said he'd come back and we could talk about the book. Pretty cool huh!?!
